Beaches and Bush Doof's

I have left Newcastle by plane, 'cause it was cheaper than the bus, can you imagine that?

Andrew, an ozzie that I've met in Argentina, invited me to stay at his place, even though his is still in South America. Rang up his housemate and planned it out. It is a great world out there hey!!!

Spend some days wanderingabout in the city. Celebrated Anzac the Oz variaty of veteran day (nut much to it to be honest). Then decided it was beach time.

Byron Bay
Took the Greyhound to Byron Bay, a former Hippy Resort on the beach. Arrived there and as usual mixed with all the good people I've met. The plan was to go to the curch that night, because they handed out food... okay let have a go, hmm.

It was awesome. This church hands out a proper meal (including drinks and icecream desert) once a week, to just about everybody. It was packed with backpacker, locals, older younger people, homeless, form all different races and background. All just enjoying a meal in the church's garden. No strings attached.

That's what more churches, temples and mosques should do hey!!!

The next day, the weather was very clouded and the forcasts were not promissing at all, so I decided to go back again. Seen it done it, time to move on. Bought my bus ticket and waited a while on the shore side. There a met Peter, a retired businessman in his early 40ties, who started a environmental/cultural movement called Eco Warriors. An interesting guy at least. His was going to this party in Brisbane so I could have a ride with him.

After a very short night in Down Town Brissy, I decided to say goodbye to my host there and join Peter for the 'Bush Doof' party, inlands just outside of Brisbane...
What is the change for a traveller to join in a Psytrance Party in hthe middle of the bush?
And all that you could image with a thing like that it turned out to be. I can only say it was a very interesting and extraordinary experience. Someting special and definitely off-the-beaten-track!!!

Now I am staying with some people I met at the party and can catch my breath from an exhausting weekend. Next on the plan Cairns!!!
