The last message in the digital bottle

So...

All good things come an end.

But luckily endings are as relative as beginnings and thus is my life nothing but a continuation of things, although in different forms, all is good!!!

To conclude this extraordinary trip -not only the actual one but also the personal journey- I would like to sum up some extraordinary facts:

In 13 months (394 dys) of travelling I:
Visited 35 countries
Crossed 70 borders
Spend more than 1000 hrs (6 wks, 24/7) on busses, trains and boats (10% the total travelling time)
Took 19 flights (more than 80 hrs)
Put foot on 6 continents
Crossed the ecuator 4 times (2 times over land)
Crossed entirely over South America (over land), Australia and Africa.
Made 29 dives across the globe
Highest point 5986 mtr (Andes, Bolivia)
Deepest point -50 (Utila, Honduras)
Lowest latitude point 54 South (Punta Arenas, Chili)
Most isolated point Easter Island (a.k.a. Rapa Nui, Chili)
Biggest city 28.000.000 (Mexico)
Most impressive temples Teotihuacán (Mexico), Machu Picchu (Peru), Ankor Wat (Cambodia) and the pyramides (Egypte)
Wonders of Nature: Foz do Iguacu, biggest waterfall of the world (Brasil/Argentina), Biggest salt flats (Uyuni, Bolivia), Amazone tropical jungle(South America), Mekong river (Laos), Nile (Egypte), Great Barrier Reef (Australia) and the Ngorongoro (Serengeti eco system)
Strange animal for dinner kangaroo, crickets, aligator, crocodile, cobra and guinea pig
Tasted at least 140 brands of beer
Know 'cheers' in at least 30 languages
Read both the Bible (n.t.) and the Qur'an

Besides this I had nameless other experiences that made a deep impact on my life. I consider myself blessed beyond words. I have so many people to be gratefull to and I can only hope I'll be able to give back a fraction of all the kindness I've been shown. It was a wonderfull experience and changed me (hopefull for the better) into another person.

I am going to enjoy the last days in total relaxation (never slept so much as lately) and looking forward to see all my loved ones at home.
