The bullet is throught the church (old Dutch saying, red.), we've booked the return ticket!!!
We just arrived in Nairobi yesterday after (again) an interesting bus journey. Now the bus (good company this time, but in vain) broke down and we got toed by a lorrie!!! Big chain in between the two trucks and about 3 mtrs of distance... so you can imagine the nice save feeling we had, especially after a couple of hard pulls of the lorrie on the cahin!!! Luckily it wasn't too far to the next gas station.
Nairobi is a big city, polluted and busy. We tried to work out the transportation and visa to Ethiopia and check the options after that. Because we found out in Mombasa the Sudan expedition was to be a very difficult one (e.g. on the waarbenjij.nu site almost all the post are from Dutch soldiers). Unfortunatly the transportation is nearly impossible to north Kenya, due to unsafety.
So... we decided to book a flight to cairo, spend little more than a week there and head back home.
Back home. The date is set. After crossing over the entire world I am coming home...
Strange feeling, mixed emotions, but above all gratitude and looking forward to all the new adventures life has to offer!!!
We're going to enjoy the tail of our trip, much love and lots of kisses,

Wauw! Kan er nix aan doen, maar de tranen springen in mijn ogen... voor mij geen mixed emotions, alleen maar grote dankbaarheid dat alles tot nu toe en hopelijk nog steeds zo fantastisch goed (met je) is gegaan en dat je ..... eindelijk en eerder dan verwacht naar huis komt. Wauw! Ik ben er hartstikke blij om, nog blijer dan ik dacht. Heb nog steeds rooie oogjes, alleen maar goed.
Lieverd (en Daan ook) geniet nog met volle teugen van waar je nu bent. Je sluit straks een periode van globetrotteren af, en, nix is voor altijd, je kunt altijd nog naar een land terug, welk land dan ook, da's het mooie van deze tijd, dus.... Ik begrijp je mixed emotions, vandaar dat ik dit zeg.
Ik wilde na mijn Portugal-avontuur helemaal niet graag naar 'huis' of naar Nederland, is ook een beetje anders dan bij jou, maar nu ik hier weer ben.... 't is hier goed, zeker.
Gossie, wat zal ik blij zijn als ik je weer even flink kan huggen, spierbal van me! Lav joe soo matsj!! Dikke KUS. Ook voor Daan eentje. Je Mom. -

Ik denk niet dat ik het beter kan zeggen als moeders! Maar het is precies hoe ik me ook voel! Dus Broer Geniet nog van je laatste stukje! En tot heel snel! Oh en trouwens, ik zit in net 3 dagen in Finland als je terug bent dus jij mag mij van schiphol af halen in plaats van in jou hehe! Moet toch een beetje origineel blijven hé! Hele dikke kus en hou van je!
