After an unbelievable busy period I'm back!!!
Sorry if I caused any worries mom!!!
Antigua:
Last night in Antigua was amazing, we had one our famous Mojariño nights at my place and ended up in La Sin Ventura with a fare bunch of people. Arjan had come over from San Pedro aswell and the end of the night I had to say goodbye to so many nice people... I has been great!!!
Now packed with a good foundation of spanish and salsa I headed of to the next adventure (the first location still together with Chris).
Lanquin (near to Cobán) and Semuc Champey: After a loooong bus journey with a stop over in Guatemala Capital (it suppose toi be dangerous, but we had to see it) we ended up in Cobán... There we changed buses and went to Lanquin (without any money). This is a beautiful place in the middle of the mountains and jungle. Here we stayed for a couple of days. I was sick, Christ went up and down to Cobán for some money.
After that we took a trip to Semuc, which was amazingly pretty!!! We had a cave exploration (swimming around with candles, jumping of rocks, going down waterfalls and whirlpools through tiny holes were you needed to hold your breath and that all in the caves!!!).
After that we gone to the natural pools which were the best ever!!!
Climbed up the highest mirador ever to oversee everything.
At the end I jumped of a 15 mtr high tree into the pools.
Back in Lanquin we did some innertubing down the river that walks next to the hostel we stayed at...
It was an unbelievable time there!!!
Rio Dulce and Livingston:
Together with an English guy (Mark) I went to Rio Dulce the day after in another looong bus journey. This is a river and a gorge surrounding jungle and the most authentic houses you could imagine, it{s just like your in the Amazone I reckon!!!
We arrived at Livingston (a Carribean-like village on the coast with a mixture of Guatemalteco´s and Black people (Garifuna´s), we had the best seafood there ever!!!
Honduras here we are!!!
Tela and La Ceiba:
After Livingston we went to Puertos Bario´s by boat and from there in a mini van packed with people to the border of Honduras. From there we went on to Tela were we spend the night. According to the Rough Guide there was no possibility tot use any ATM (we ofcourse only read that after our arrival) and had to fall back on our emergency supply of US dollars... The next day we did manage to find an ATM that did accept our cards, otherwise it would have been a tough trip through Honduras and Nicaragua down to Costa Rica (the fist place we they do accept foreigh cards).
We´re now looking binto some white water rafting (suppose to be one of the best in the world) before we head for the Islands to get into some diving!!!
Sorry for the massive update try to keep it shorter next time and a little sooner aswell!!!

nou, ik vind het helemaal niet erg dat je zo'n lekker uitgebreid verslag doet van alles - juist toppie, dan leeft je verhaal en kunnen wij ons er een voorstelling van maken. Geweldig wat je allemaal meemaakt!!! En je bent nog maar pas begonnen!!! Take good care, lieverd en tot mails. Mom.

Frank & Dan:
Zijn net terug van Acatenango in Antigua, moet je ooit ook nog maar eens een keertje doen, is echt ongelofelijk om wakker te worden op 4km hoogte terwijl je heel guatemala ziet ontwaken. Maar goed je moet ook nog wat over houden om te doen.
Hoorde van chris dat je ziek was geweest maar begrijp dat je ondertussen al weer beter bent. As zaterdag vertrekken wij naar El Salvador voor een paar dagen en dan door naar de Bay Islands. Dus hopelijk zien wij elkaar daar weer.
