High lights of Nam...

After the rumours of Hue on the first day I was looking up to the filling in of the next day before my bus trip would start. Luckily I met some nice people, amongs my two Spanish friends, who decided to rent a motor bike, so the day wasn't lost after all.
Unfortunately one of the girls fell on a brigde and hurted her shoulder, so up to the hospital. Nothing serious, but it was very interesting to spend a couple of hours in a non western hospital, you can imagine!!!

On the bus that evening I met Endre, a-in-New-Zealand-living-Hungarian, with whom I spend some hours chatting, interesting guy!!!

We hung out yesterday and today in Hanoi, an old city which, according to the LP (I love the LP, didn't I mentioned earlier?) was aging gently and deserved the name of 'Asian Paris'... I don't know how much snake wine those writers used, but far from it. Besides the agonising heat, the hustling people (vendors, cyclists- and motor bike drivers) and the over population (and all the polution that comes with that) it was very hard to find the 'French culture'.

After thoughrough consideration ('bout 5 minutes)Endre and I voted that the high light of Nam, was the water puppet show, which was indeed (although it sounds boring) pretty interesting.

Last night Vietnam won the Asian cup and the streets flooded with even more (hunking and shouting) motor bikes, it was quite a spectacle!!! My friend got his camera stolen in all the tremours, but that's part of life.

I a minute I am going to take on one of the few remaining Big Trips in SEA, a 25+ bus journey to Vientiane, yeah!!!

PS: the SEA's have their own form of a Burka (the extreme coverage of Muslim women) they go around with mouth masks and all kinds of hats, only showing their eyes. In contrary to the religious motives they do it for estethic ones: trying to keep their pale taint, how bizar!!!
