Like true tourist Dan and I went to the bus station fully packed, complete with our backpacks, gitar, 2 djembe's (african drums), painting tubes and a sheesha... my, oh my haven't been a real tourist up until now, but I'm catching up!!!
After the 11 hours in one of the best busses since a loooong time, we arrived in the middle of the dessert, where there seemed to be some sort of civilization... It worked out that there is a complete tourist village here. Again in the middle of nowhere. We found out that this colony has been erected just over the last 5 years, it's impressive. Especially when you reconsider that beside the endless dive possibilities and the good climate for windsurfing, there is no beach or any sort of confortable swimming options.
So we've spend (and will be spending) our days in the numerous 'beach' lounche joints, living 'da vida loca', smoking sheesha's, drinking an occational beer or egyptian tea, looking at Saudi Arab in across the water and getting some well deserved rest from the last couple of weeks (for Dan) and months (for me) travelling like mad men.
But that's not all folks!!! We actually DID something today, something where this area is famous for: diving!!! We had two (prices are low as ever) amazingly good dives. Both pretty deep and with a lot of fish, it's like you're diving into an aquarium. The only flip side is the overpopulating of, well other divers...
But we had a nice big drop off wall, a blue hole, several cave like tubes and some very exotic fish. All in all it is nothing to much said, Red Sea diving rules!!!
Two and a half day more of relaxation, before the big coming home, reunion with loved ones and the start of new exiting chapter in the adventure they call Life!!!
This will probably be the fore last one of my posts, at least THIS trip, so hope to keep y'all hooked untill then, much love and see ya soon, insha allah!!!
Beso,
Dani y Tito
