Ok ok, after a couple of boring days, I'll eb honest, today was the day I've been lookinmg forward so long.
Tattoo day.
And i'll be honest, writing this I am in PAIN. It hurts, but like every 'birth' it has to come with blood and pain, to create something amazing. And even though tomorrow they will finish the job, it already looks amazing. Truly.
Ones I've got picture's I'll place them right away.
To give you an idea of how things go down I write it here. I came in the shop, of more gallery for they are true artist, and Inia (an award winning tattoo artist, amongs others worked on the movie 'Ones were warriors') drew the scetch on my shoulder. He and another artist made the outline with a tattoo machine, then Croc and his assistent started on the filling in with the traditional chisle tool.
This tool is made of tropical wood that only grows in the pasific and the head is carved out of a bore's fang (slagtand van een wild zwijn). They say a little prayer in which they ask premission and guidance from the ancestors before they start. For the traditional part I had to get into a special blessed area, bare footed and with a kind of a sarong (skirt for guys).
To take all the misconception away, it does hurt, a lot. I've got quite a brouse on my upper shoulder and lost a bit of blood. No pain no gain, we shall say at that.
Tomorrow the last part will be finished and them I have something very special contributed to my body.

It took 2 men to hold me down. They scratched, stressed and scarred, brouched and battered me. But after more than 6 hours, I am proud to say I've got an traditionally Moari tattoo.

Hoi Tim, je begrijpt wel: wij wachten nu op een foto! Laat je in elk land waar je komt een tattoo zetten? Ja, en wie mooi wil gaan moet pijn lijden, natuurlijk.
Voor ons is het bijna weer tijd om naar Spanje te verkassen (midden mei), maar ook daar kunnen wij je volgen.
