12 Maart 2007 | Argentinië, El Calafate
Arrived in El Calafate, after spending my time on the bus like a confict: on water and bread, at 2 in the morning.
After the necessary money withdrawl and a stiff walk in the cold night I arrived at the hostel I tried to book a bed in... ofcourse fully booked. They had a doubel room for more than 5 times the normal price, after a bit of hard negociating I got it for an acceptable price given the possition I was in. Ahhh that hot shower was gooood!!!
Today the visit to the Perito Moreno (the small brown dog, little joke of course) galcier stood on the menu. Imagine a river of ice coming through the mountains to come out into a lake. The ice is blue-ish and crumbling at the end. At times with a big thunder-like rumble it felt into the water. The water is touched by the same blue-ish colour. Alle in all another AMAZING experience which I have trouble to explane here, so you just have to take my word for it, hahaha.
Tomorrow up to Puerto Natales and Punta Arena in Chile, so that means this is my last night in Argentina... The end is near for my South America adventure... Mixed feelings.
Be back to you soon, beso, beso,
Tito

He Timmie,
X Jiska
