Ofcourse the trip from Dar to Arusha (the hub from where we were to jump into Kenya) took us a tiiiiiny bit longer than planned, but even after the bus broke down 2 times, we fortunatly arrived just before the Tanzanian bus curvue...
In Arusha we orientated on safari tours... 'cause it would be kinda cool going into the famous Ngorongoro crater. After a looking around we decided to do a 2 day tour, big byte out of the budgetm, but something we just couldn't miss out on.
And it was great!!! Day 1 we went into the Lake Manyara resort, where we were introduced to Impalas, Babboons, Hippos, Giraffes and Elephants amnogs others. We slept in a lodge and had a nice view overlooking the resort with a full moon and a nice camp fire.
Day 2 we headed out early to the Crater...
It was foggy and cold, but that soon changed ones we drove into the large and imposing crater. We drove around all day and saw the big 5 (elephant, lion, leopard, buffalo and (black) rino), herds of wildebeest, zebra, and other big mammals. Got treated with hyenas and ostriges among other things: check the pics!!!
Now up to Kenya and the rest, see you next time for new adventure of Djam and Tito, same bat net, same bat time.
